The boards of the four districts of the Pacific Western Region (PWR) – Mountain Desert District (MDD, that’s us), Pacific Northwest District (PNWD), Pacific Southwest District (PSWD), and Pacific Central District (PCD) – have been meeting regularly to discern how to move forward in regionalization. While the boards have been working together, and with the PWR Developmental Regional Lead, Carlton E. Smith, decisions need to be made by the voting delegates of each district.  The districts may or may not come to the same decisions on the best way to regionalize.

As the region and so many of our congregations have learned to do so much more virtually, we have an evolving idea of regionalization, and the interconnectedness that reinforces. As we move toward our annual business meeting – yes, we just had one, but that was actually last year’s – it would be helpful to have as many people as possible participate in the forums and feedback of Love Right Through.

We are also planning two MDD zoom informational meetings, Wednesday, May 19 at 7 pm and Saturday, May 22 at 10 am. They will cover the same material, so no need to attend both. Everyone is encouraged to come, but most especially those who are interested in being delegates at the annual meeting. Zoom links and more information about the meetings will be posted in early May.

We look forward to your participation in this important next step for the MDD.
