BVUUF Seeks 20-hour Music Director

The Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Lafayette, CO, is hiring a Music Director to begin work on September 1, 2010. The position requires an accomplished pianist who is comfortable with occasional choral and small ensemble assistance and who possesses strong organization and communication skills. The successful candidate will be creative, flexible, patient and comfortable working with a wide variety of people. Qualifications include a BA or MA degree in Music Performance or related field; previous congregational hymn and soloist accompaniment experience; some choral directing experience; willingness to learn the Unitarian Universalist tradition and its music. Preference will be given to non-BVUUF members.

Resumes are being considered immediately and interviews will take place beginning the end of July into early August. Salary is in the $15K range, for a 20 hour a week, 10-month a year contract. Flexible hours and generous vacation accrual.
