Quuest Counselor Application / Training
TRAINING: First Unitarian Denver, CO, June 27-29, begins at 5 pm, Fri - ends 12 pm, Sunday.
Counselors contribute an important part of what it takes to make camp fun and meaningful for campers. To help you feel prepared for your job as a counselor, we have a training opportunity for successful applicants. It is mandatory to attend the Counselor Training Weekend should your application be accepted. For CIT’s this can be a great opportunity to earn Volunteer Hours for your graduation requirement. Candidates who are 18-25 only can apply as Sr Counselors.
This is a weekend of workshops and hands-on training that will let counselors see what operating camp is like. Folks will participate in first aid training, youth issues discussions, team building activities, classes, learn camp policies, learn problem-solving strategies, conduct daily routines, and visit La Foret to see where you'll actually work with campers. Come prepared to learn, join activities, and grow together.
COMPENSATION: Senior Counselors receive $200 and free room & board. CIT’s receive a discounted registration fee of $375.
