Chris and Steve Sealy performed the new Mountain Desert District song, We Are Blessed, with some help from Dea Brayden at General Assembly in Ft. Lauderdale. This beautiful song will be in the hands of music directors in the district sometime in the fall. We expect to perform it at the 2009 General Assembly in Salt Lake City.
The Rev. Peter Morales, Senior Minister at Jefferson Unitarian Universalist Church in Golden CO is running for President of the Unitarian Universalist Association. The Rev. Laurel Hallman, First Unitarian Church of Dallas is also running.
MDD was awarded a grant from the Panel on Theological Education in support of a program to integrate ministerial students at Iliff Theological School with the leadership development of the 8 congregations in the Boulder Denver Cluster. The proposal is considered a model for other urban areas with non UU theological schools.
